Employing Dye-Sensitized Solar Arrays and Synchronous Reluctance Motors to Improve the Total Cost and Energy Efficiency of Solar Water-Pumping Systems

In this work, a proposed high-efficiency and low-cost photovoltaic water-pumping system based on semitransparent dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) is presented. DSSCs are third-generation photovoltaics that have gained lot of interest as promising alternative for silicon cells. fabricated at low cost temperature present power conversions with high efficiency, exceeding 14%, thanks to transparency, variety colors, even in light conditions. The DSSC modules used study were tested under different working conditions, their characteristics determined experimentally simulated theoretically via MATLAB. A complete laboratory infrastructure constructed test the module array. contains synchronous reluctance motor driving water pump feeding from an inverter without DC–DC converters or batteries. has many merits, such efficiency cost. DSSCs’ maximum available obtained point tracking technique (perturb-and-observe). Moreover, control was also implemented. torque per ampere strategy considered drive efficiently using inverter.
